Managing and Creating Diagrams
The recent versions of ThreatGet provide flexibility to import an existing model (that was created using other ThreatGet versions, such as older versions) or create a new one entirely through the web interface.
Import Existing TARA Diagram
The importing existing diagrams feature is an enhanced capability in the latest version of ThreatGet , designed to streamline the management and manipulation of all diagrams, including those created in previous versions. As a result, if you have an existing diagram in the ThreatGet Enterprise Architect version, the new web interface can now seamlessly import and handle these models. To proceed, the user must have the exported JSON file for the existing diagram. Once ready, select the "Create TARA from existing Diagram..." option. Additional details about exporting existing models can be found here.
Create New TARA Diagram
The user can create diagram(s) within the project that include all the necessary models to define and describe the connections and components of the system. The diagram(s) are utilized by ThreatGet to investigate potential cyber threats within the system's design. Provide an appropriate name for the model and write a clear description that accurately represents the model's objectives. Once completed, the Finish button will be activated. Press this button to proceed to the next step.
Each model represents a comprehensive description of the system design, including all connections, components, and assets.
